February 2009
Action for Children and Queen’s Film Theatre (QFT) are proud to present a free film season which distinctively takes a look at childhood transformation.
The season begins with the Rob Reiner classic Stand by Me at 12pm on Sunday 1 March and will be followed by Juno on Sunday 5 April and Son of Rambow on Sunday 3 May.
Action for Children has teamed up with Queen's Film Theatre to offer free tickets to three great films on the first Sunday of each month in March, April and May 2009.
Each film has been specifically chosen as they show how children and young people are transformed by their experiences, and how essential it is that they get the support they need.
This is an approach Action for Children puts into practise every day, and by being there for as long as it takes the charity has managed to help hundreds of thousands of the UK’s most vulnerable children and young people over the last 140 years.
The films are taking place on:
• Sunday 1 March: Stand by Me Queens Film Theatre at 12 noon
• Sunday 4 April: Juno Queens Film Theatre at 12 noon
• Sunday 3 May: Son of Rambow Queens Film Theatre at 12 noon
You can claim free tickets for any of the screenings. All you have to do is download one voucher and take it along to the QFT. The cinema will in turn exchange the voucher for a ticket to the next scheduled film, then all you need to do is settle back and enjoy a great film.
